Her clothes were soaking wet.
She stood in the doorway, rigid,
listening to the rain.
Listening for something.
She should have found a towel,
dried her hair and
put on a robe.
These little things matter.
If she had just done that one thing,
everything would be different now.
It just didn’t seem that simple
at the time.
